"Fantastic!!! We hear 943WILW.COM clear as anything. Hard to believe that I could get you here like I was in NJ. I made a copy of your broadcast to share with the Vets today..it is now 3AM Wed., and we are getting ready for a 4AM flight to Danang.
This group is called
"The Friends of Danang".
It was formed in Pittsburgh about 10 years ago to raise money for projects here. Yesterday there was a school dedication, that the FOD participated in to raise the money for its construction. This was in a very remote area of the Mekong Delta. The whole trip there was unbelievable..the sights unreal. Things most tourists will never see. The people are wonderful and so thrilled with to see Americans. We brought with us any donations we could get to distribute to the children at the school and the people in the Village. Wow is the best way to describe the experience. Today we are dedicating a Bridge built between 2 Villages. Their only way to cross the river before this was boat and in the rainy season it was impossible. the Vets are from the Pittsburgh Area and represent all branches of the service. My husband Pete was in the Navy on the rivers. Thats it for now.
